Overview:
Bucks County School of Beauty Culture is seeking a strategic and detail-oriented Director of Financial Aid & Compliance to lead and manage all aspects of the school's financial aid operations. This position ensures compliance with federal, state, and accrediting body regulations while delivering excellent service to our student community.
Reporting Structure:
This position reports directly to the President and works closely with the Executive Director of Finance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the administration of all financial aid programs (Title IV, state, institutional, and veterans' benefits).
- Ensure full compliance with Federal (Department of Education) and State (State Board of Cosmetology & Pa Department of Education) regulations, accreditation requirements (eg, NACCAS), and internal policies.
- Supervise the financial aid team and support students through FAFSA, loan counseling, and aid processing.
- Maintain timely reporting, reconciliations, and accurate records for Financial & Compliance Audits and quarterly compliance reviews.
- Serve as the liaison with the U.S. Department of Education, NACCAS -Accreditation Commission and assist with the requirements of the Pennsylvania State Board of Cosmetology.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with admissions, student services, and finance for seamless student support.
- Support ongoing system integration and documentation for financial aid processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred.
- 2-5 years of experience in financial aid administration, with supervisory experience.
- Strong knowledge of Title IV regulations, compliance, and financial aid systems (eg, COD, NSLDS).
- Experience in vocational, cosmetology, or technical education is a plus.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
