Job Details:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Director of Engineering Operations to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to lead and manage the engineering operations of a leading engineering firm. This position is 100% remote, allowing you the flexibility to work from anywhere. The ideal candidate will be a Professional Engineer (PE) with a proven track record of success in managing high voltage substations and leading executive teams. The candidate must have an ABET accredited degree in electrical engineering and at least 5 years of relevant work experience.

Responsibilities:
As the Director of Engineering Operations, your primary responsibilities will include:

1. Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the engineering department and ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget.
2. Leading and managing a team of engineers, providing guidance and mentorship to ensure their professional growth.
3. Planning, designing, and overseeing the construction and maintenance of high voltage 15-500 kV substations.
4. Collaborating with executive leadership to develop and implement strategic plans for the engineering department.
5. Developing and maintaining key performance metrics to measure the effectiveness and efficiency of the engineering operations.
6. Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
7. Continuously improving operational processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and productivity.

Qualifications:
To be considered for the Director of Engineering Operations position, you must have the following qualifications:

1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a leadership role within the engineering industry.
2. A Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
3. An ABET accredited degree in electrical engineering.
4. Strong experience in planning, designing, and overseeing the construction and maintenance of high voltage 15-500 kV substations.
5. Proven ability to lead and manage a team of engineers.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to quality.
8. Proficiency in using engineering software and tools.
9. Demonstrated ability to develop and implement strategic plans and initiatives.
10. Proven track record of improving operational efficiency and productivity through process improvement.
