Responsible for leading and managing the technical roadmap and product development plans to meet company objectives.
Director of Engineering Responsibilities
- Responsible for the development of new products.
- Management of engineering personnel, budgets, capital plans and other required resources.
- Build, develop, and lead the Engineering department to ensure that company goals and objectives are achieved
- Coordination of design, development and release efforts with the entire organization through the use of New Product
- Introduction process (NPI), Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP).
- Perform as principal manager and liaison for the above efforts.
- Actively participate in the worldwide corporate sales and marketing efforts with existing and proposed technical, product, and engineering support solutions.
- Establish the annual engineering budget and performance measures
- Develop and support a culture of continuous improvement and best practices within the department and across the Company with time limitations and funding
- Develop an environment of continual improvement through the use of Lean tools.
- Be able to explain key concepts of the Quality Policy, Quality Goals, and complete requirements from ISO 9001 (Quality Management Systems) training.
- Execute talent management activities with direct reports.
- Ensure proper performance management, training, and development
- Develop an environment of continual improvement through the use of Lean tools.

Director of Engineering Requirements
- Possess the leadership, communication, managerial, and interpersonal skills necessary to be effective within the organization
- Ability to function as a leader in a team environment
- Principles of Agile and Lean
- B.S. degree in Engineering, minimum.
- Proven experience in leading the development and/or manufacturing operations of a highly successful electronics or electronics-related business, with an emphasis on the RF and communications industries.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication (oral and written) skills with the ability to mentor others.
- Excellent presentation skills with the ability to interface with external organizations and customers on business and technical levels.
