Responsibilities:
- Administer employee health and retirement benefits programs
- Manage the employee Leave of Absence (LOA) process, including FMLA tracking and compliance
- Maintain benefit elections for new and eligible employees
- Oversee the new hire benefits enrollment process
- Ensure all benefit plans comply with company guidelines and regulations
- Coordinate workflow to ensure timely premium payments
- Review and process tuition reimbursement requests
- Manage disability claims, workers' compensation cases, and OSHA reports
- Partner with insurance carriers to resolve eligibility and claims issues
- Assist with Open Enrollment preparation and communication
- Oversee COBRA administration
- Track benefit premium payments for employees on leave
- Coordinate beneficiary forms
Must-Have Skills:
- 8+ years of experience in Human Resources
- 4+ years of experience specifically focused on employee benefits
- Must have retail industry experience, preferably in merchandising, consumer goods, or fashion
- Proficiency in Excel, Google Docs, and HRIS systems
- Experience overseeing Open Enrollment for a medium to large-sized company
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- General knowledge of benefits regulations
Nice to Have Skills:
- Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS)
- Experience working in a large retail organization
