Our client is seeking a Director of Education Technology for an exciting contract to hire opportunity. The Director of Education Technology is pivotal in leveraging technology to meet strategic objectives. This position entails providing comprehensive system development and support of crucial systems such as CRM, LMS, and SIS.

DUTIES:
  • Understand the strategic objectives and align all systems, processes, and data to meet those objectives.
  • Assist and lead the team in selecting, implementing, and maintaining educational technology infrastructure, platforms, and software.
  • Ensure that technology solutions align with the organization s goals.
  • Direct the development of all current and future Student Information Systems, Learning Management Systems, and Customer Relationship Management Systems for global teams.
  • Act as a key stakeholder in the implementation of major technology initiatives across project lifecycles including implementation, integration, data governance, training, and support
  • Work with co-IT Leaders to maintain a comprehensive, strategic roadmap of planned development initiatives and feature requests.
  • Lead development teams toward commonality of approach and design, minimizing technical debt.
  • Identify necessary skillsets for the development stack and make recommendations for training, hiring, or outsourcing.
  • Lead a technical support team to respond to end users' requests promptly on the existing software systems. Coordinate and assist technical support teams with balancing the requests of end users and the needs of the software and organizational outcomes. Provide direction on prioritization of projects and support requests to the teams keeping in mind the larger organizational priorities and goals.
  • Other tasks as needed.


REQUIREMENTS:
  • 3+ years of management experience is required
  • 2+ years of experience leading an IT team or technical design team is required
  • 3+ years of experience in IT system development, implementation, and/or support
  • Demonstrate leadership in a complex, multi-disciplinary environment
  • Exhibit excellent conflict resolution, diplomacy, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Employ complex analytical judgment, ingenuity, and system intelligence
  • Balance and prioritize multiple technology projects, understanding the impact on high-level strategic objectives
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office 365 and Azure including the Power Platform, Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to learn and understand systems from both a front and back-end standpoint
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of best system design and development practices
