Job Details

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive logistics and distribution strategy that supports high service levels and cost optimization across the supply chain.
• Manage freight operations for inbound shipments from over 100 suppliers to multiple distribution centers and a centralized redistribution hub.
• Oversee outbound distribution activities delivering millions of cases annually to thousands of retail locations nationwide.
• Lead and develop a high-performing team, providing guidance in logistics execution, supplier performance, and strategic initiatives.
• Collaborate closely with procurement, supply chain planning, and distribution partners to support supplier optimization and cost-reduction efforts.
• Establish and manage performance metrics (KPIs) to track transportation efficiency, service levels, and cost drivers.
• Maintain strong working relationships with third-party freight and distribution providers to align on executional goals and long-term strategy.
• Evaluate and implement logistics network optimizations, including cost modeling and service impact analysis.
• Drive regular business reviews with logistics partners, following through on performance improvement plans and corrective actions.
• Oversee contract lifecycle management for logistics and distribution services, including planning and executing RFPs as needed.
• Ensure business continuity and risk mitigation through proactive disaster recovery planning and periodic testing.
• Monitor industry benchmarks to ensure competitive service offerings and pricing across all logistics functions.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Logistics, or related field.
• 6+ years of relevant experience in transportation, logistics, and distribution leadership roles.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage external logistics partners.
• Strong analytical skills, including the ability to interpret complex data and make strategic decisions.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint; experience with Power BI is a plus.
• Skilled in conflict resolution, contract negotiation, and performance management.
• Results-oriented with a strong sense of ownership and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
