Director of Distribution Center Maintenance (US Network)

What Will You Do?
The Director of Distribution Center Network Maintenance will be in charge of maintaining, planning, and expanding the PIV Equipment fleet. You will also oversee strategic efforts for the Distribution Centers, focusing on improving maintenance programs, reducing expenses, enhancing equipment reliability, and managing expansion projects. This role includes leading multiple projects, setting improvement metrics, and ensuring continuous enhancement.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain maintenance guidelines and obsolescence planning for Ashley's global PIV fleet
- Cultivate a 'zero downtime' culture to maximize fleet utilization and minimize repair times
- Lead mitigation efforts for production disruptions and unforeseen events
- Oversee expansion projects and new Distribution Center openings, including equipment planning and facilities layout
- Utilize technology for proactive maintenance planning and compliance with regulations
- Manage maintenance contracts and communication with internal and external stakeholders
- Ensure emergency preparedness and safety in all facilities
- Coordinate expansion and consolidation projects within budget and timelines
- Evaluate future Material Handling Equipment needs and partner with the Automation Team
- Make employment decisions and manage employee performance, training, and development
- Maintain accurate employee records and communicate company goals
What Do You Need?
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field.
- 7+ years of experience in maintenance leadership or a related area.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to deep dive into critical business problems.
- Experience in managing resources to optimize equipment, facilities, employees, methods, and materials.
- Experience with maintenance contract negotiations.
- Experience with system improvement methods.
- Proven ability to leverage data analysis to drive business insights and solutions.
- Strong project management and continuous improvement skills.
- Experience with automation deployment projects.
Compensation: Annual Salary = $140,000 - $200,000. Individual compensation packages are based on various factors unique to each candidate, including skill set, experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors.
Profit sharing is available to eligible employees; this discretionary program is dependent on the profitability of the company.
