At Carolina Sunshine For Children, every wish granted is a spark of joy during the darkest times for children battling life-threatening illnesses in South Carolina. Since 1983, we've created unforgettable moments of hope and happiness-because we believe every child deserves to experience the magic of a dream fulfilled.
We are seeking a mission-driven, results-oriented Director of Development to lead our growth efforts and amplify our impact. In this role, you'll be at the heart of our mission-driving fundraising strategy, expanding donor relationships, and elevating brand awareness so we can serve more children across the state.
What You'll Do:
- Lead fundraising and business development strategies to grow revenue and diversify support.
- Cultivate corporate sponsorships and individual giving campaigns that build long-term donor loyalty.
- Oversee marketing and digital campaigns that highlight the life-changing power of a wish.
- Strengthen and expand our annual Gala while building new events and engagement opportunities.
- Partner with our passionate board and community to expand Carolina Sunshine's reach beyond Columbia.
What We're Looking For:
- 5+ years in fundraising, business development, or marketing (nonprofit experience a plus)
- Proven success in sponsorships, digital marketing, and donor engagement
- Strong leadership, storytelling, and relationship-building skills
- Passion for mission-driven work and the perseverance to drive meaningful change
Must live in Columbia, SC.
