What You Will Do
- Understand the business needs of the customer and provide quality customer support by using appropriate communication, anticipating customer needs and/or issues, and understanding the broad impact of change on all customer processes.
- Provide leadership to a development team in the support of the corporate vision, department objectives and individual goals
- Provide direction and work to remove barriers and silos to accomplishing the success and implementation of projects across cross-functional teams
- Plan, direct, and coordinate multiple Information Technology projects to ensure that project goals are accomplished within prescribed time frames
- Ensure project goals and requirements are met on schedule, within budget and are successfully completed
- Oversee all phases of project execution including initiation, planning/development, production/execution, monitors/controls, closing/post release activities for larger projects
- Track projects and issues closely, foster collaboration from both the business and technology groups and lead issue resolution meetings during projects
- Accountable for final approval on releases for all projects within their assigned accounts, ensuring that nothing is missed and reducing reliability tickets
Skills and Experience Needed
Required:
- 15+ years of experience in the software development field
- 7+ years of experience directly leading software projects.
- Experience with Java or .NET technology stacks
- Management experience managing large delivery teams (preferably onshore/offshore)
- Experience working with PBM/Healthcare industries
Open to the following:
- Work with sales team to strategize on marketing strategies to grow the account from a delivery perspective.
- Work with internal GalaxE teams to manage ops for the account - Finances, Recruiting, Marketing Collaterals, RFP's etc.
- Consulting experience
- Expertise in software development best practices
- Ability to guide individuals toward goal achievement using motivation and staff development skills; ability to demonstrate innovation and problem-solving skills when making decisions.
- Ability to work well under pressure.
- Excellent verbal communication skills to speak with customer on a daily basis.
- Complex working knowledge of systems and software development concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Complex working knowledge of project management concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Ability to provide leadership, oversight, and support to technical leadership within their assigned accounts.
- Provide technical and architecture oversight, being able to work hands-on in development as needed.
- Systems Integration/Systems Architecture experience
- Experience with Technology Lifecycle Management and/or System Modernization
- Experience working in large scale 24x7x365 environments.
Desired:
- Experience working with other consulting firms managing a client and its delivery.
- Experience with Infrastructure and Network architecture
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in related field from a four-year college or university or equivalent combination of education and experience
