Job DetailsWe're seeking a relationship-driven Business Development Manager or Director with deep ties to the Florida construction market. This role is key to expanding our presence in the commercial and healthcare sectors. You'll identify opportunities, develop strategic relationships, and drive growth through client engagement and proposal leadership.
Responsibilities:
- Generate leads and pursue new business opportunities in healthcare and commercial construction
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with developers, architects, and end-users
- Lead RFQ/RFP processes and coordinate with internal teams on proposals and presentations
- Represent Benchmark GC at industry events, networking functions, and community initiatives
- Partner with leadership to shape strategic go-to-market plans
Qualifications:
- Background in commercial construction business development OR
o A PM or Superintendent with strong client-facing skills looking to move into BD OR
o A marketing/business development professional with prior experience in the construction sector
- Knowledge of preconstruction, design-build, and CM-at-Risk models
- Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
- Local/regional market knowledge of Florida's commercial and healthcare sectors
