Liberty University partners with nearly 100 Flight Training Affiliates (FTA) across the country to allow online Champions for Christ to meet their FAA flight training requirements without coming to Liberty's residential campus. The Director of Affiliate Operations works with the School of Aeronautics leadership to manage all aspects of FTA Operations. Duties include managing the FTA team, business development, strategic planning, and ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

1. Manage a team to provide excellent customer service to School of Aeronautics students and FTAs.

2. Understand, develop, and execute processes to maintain Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Veterans Affairs (VA), State Approving Agency (SAA), and applicable School of Aeronautics policy compliance.

3. Develop and execute a plan for on-site visits with FTAs to foster exceptional business and online student relationships (The position requires regular travel).

4. Develop and execute a strategic plan for future FTA partnerships.

5. Other duties as assigned.

6. Strictly adheres to Liberty University policies, representing the University in an exemplary manner.

7. Works effectively as a team member, embracing and fostering LU's mission.


Qualifications, Credentials, and CompetenciesMinimum Qualifications:

1. Four-year college degree.

2. Experience leading teams.

3. Exceptional customer service.


Preferred Qualifications:

1. FAA 141 flight training experience.

2. FAA certificates (CFI, CFII, MEI, A&P, and/or IA).

3. 141 flight school management experience.

4. Graduate degree in aviation or a related field.
