Description
Sewickley Academy is seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Admissions for Middle and Senior Schools. This posotion reports to the Director of Enrollment Management and assists with all of the enrollment management operation's responsibilities, including-but not limited to-interviewing, recruitment and marketing, corresponding with families and consultants, financial aid, and evaluating applications.
Responsibilities
- Strong sense of initiative to identify and engage new opportunities that move the collective work of the admissions office forward
- Interview, counsel, and correspond with prospective students and their families
- Recruit and work with prospective students and families as they move through the admissions process
- Oversee the student ambassador program and coordinate shadow days for the Middle School and Senior School
- Serve as a member of the admissions committee and lead on all Middle School and Senior School files
- Serve as a member of the financial aid and scholarship committee
Qualifications:
- Minimum of five years of experience in independent school or higher education admissions, enrollment management, and financial aid
- A bachelor's degree
- Excellent analytical, oral, and written communication skills combined with an interpersonal style that fosters warm connections with applicants from age 3 to age 17, as well as their parents
- Ability to administer admissions testing instruments
- Knowledge of admissions database, MS Office applications, and information management
- Creative, dynamic, and strategic thinking
- Excellent organizational skills coupled with a strong work ethic
- Ability to be part of a successful team
