Salary: $90,000 - $120,000 per year

A bit about us:

We are seeking a dynamic, experienced Director of Accounting & Finance to join our team. This is a permanent position where you will be responsible for leading and managing all aspects of our financial operations. You will be playing a critical role in strategic decision-making, working closely with our leadership team to ensure financial compliance, optimize our financial performance, and drive our company's financial success.

The ideal candidate is someone with a blended accounting and finance background. The Director of Accounting & Finance can be someone who is looking to grow into this role versus many years of experience. The ideal candidate has manufacturing experience, strong month-end close, AP, AR, strong ERP experience, budgeting and forecasting and has had management/leadership experience. ERP experience can include any manufacturing systems: SAP, Dynamics, JD Edwards, Great Plains, etc. This position is for someone who wants to continue growing in their career but is happy working for a smaller organization that is scaling. This position has the opportunity to grow into a true Director, VP of Finance and/or CFO depending on level and next steps for this organization.

The above compensation does not include bonuses.

Job Details

Responsibilities:

As the Director of Accounting & Finance, your responsibilities will include:

1. Overseeing all financial operations including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, month-end close, and bank reconciliations.
2. Leading the budgeting and forecasting process, providing accurate and comprehensive financial information to executive management for long-term financial strategizing.
3. Ensuring the preparation and delivery of timely and accurate financial reports in compliance with applicable regulations and standards.
4. Implementing and managing financial systems and software (Microsoft Dynamics, Oracle, SAP, SAGE, JD Edwards, etc.) to ensure efficient and accurate financial operations.
5. Developing, implementing, and ensuring compliance with internal financial and accounting policies and procedures.
6. Providing strategic recommendations to enhance financial performance and business opportunities.
7. Collaborating with auditing services to ensure proper compliance with all regulations.
8. Managing the company's financial accounting, monitoring, and reporting systems.
9. Liaising with colleagues and executives on strategic financial planning and business operations.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate for the Director of Accounting & Finance position must have:

1. A Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related field. An MBA or related advanced degree is preferred.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior financial managerial position, with a proven track record of success.
3. Extensive knowledge and experience with forecasting, budgeting, and financial reporting.
4. Strong experience with financial software and systems including Microsoft Dynamics, Oracle, SAP, SAGE, and JD Edwards.
5. Proficiency in accounts payable and receivable, month-end close, and bank reconciliations.
6. Excellent leadership, strategic planning, and organizational skills.
7. Strong interpersonal and presentation skills.
8. Exceptional knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
9. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
