The Director of Nursing is responsible for the practice of nursing and associated outcomes within Aspirus Medical Group by ensuring consistency in the standard of nursing practice across the clinical setting. Leads and has accountability for the planning, developing, implementing, evaluating, and monitoring of nursing practice, process improvement, continuous quality improvement initiatives, and professional governance to achieve nursing and organizational goals and objectives. As a member of the leadership team supports and facilitates an interdisciplinary team approach to the overall delivery of care to patients, families, and the community. This includes creating a culture where collaboration is valued and excellence in clinical care redesign and education is promoted and achieved to meet the evolving needs. Leads quality, safety, workforce planning and stabilization, and transforming initiatives within their area of responsibility. Ensures the vision of and the advancement of the profession of Nursing is evident in the professional practice environment. HOURS: Full Time or 1.0 FTE - Day shift with possible evenings for meetings Experience/Qualifications Valid and current Wisconsin or Michigan registered nurse license or compact license. Bachelor's degree in nursing from an accredited school required (BSN). Master's degree in nursing, Healthcare Administration Business Administration, or similar required or attestation to complete the program within three years of hire (must validate enrollment and program plan). Certification in nursing leadership highly desired. Minimum of five years of healthcare experience. Clinic experience preferred. Demonstrates knowledge of nursing operations and policy administration, as well as the development and implementation of budgets, strategies, and standards. Demonstrates leadership and complex organizational management skills. Demonstrates ability to successfully work within a highly matrix organization with large footprint. Demonstrates honesty, integrity, and follow through on commitments. Ability to manage different perspectives and find win-win solutions. Utilizes strong financial/analytical skills, verbal/written communication skills, problem identification and resolution skills, decision-making ability, and the ability to develop/mentor staff. Has the ability to recognize workflow problems, redesign new processes/workflows, and create ownership from all customers on change; and the ability to initiate and manage change. Collaborates with physicians, staff, and professionals and promotes diversity in the workplace. Has experience in basic strategic planning, organizational development, and business skills.
