The Director - New Market Development is responsible for identifying, evaluating, and entering new markets to expand the company's customer base and revenue streams, by developing strategies to penetrate untapped market or customer segments with existing or adapted fiber reinforced thermoplastic composite products. Identifying new markets to replace traditional materials such as wood, aluminum, and steel, where composites offer significant advantages and value to customers.
This role actively works with the President in setting the growth strategy for company focusing new market and business opportunities. The Director will develop a sales and marketing strategy and identify, develop an indirect sales model, and manage channel partners including OEM direct, private labeling partners or distributors. Product Life Cycle Management The strategy will be focused on growing profitable revenue stream to maximize bottom line profit.

Key Responsibilities:
Manage and balance top line revenue growth and percent margin to maximize long-term bottom-line profit
Market research and analysis:
Conducting in-depth market research to identify potential new markets, analyzing market trends, competitor
landscape, and customer needs to penetrate new industries and applications for thermoplastic composites sheets or
sandwich panels.
Developing comprehensive product road map, market entry strategies, including target market segmentation, pricing models, distribution channels, and marketing plans. Product roadmap management from ideation, product development, product launch, marketing plan and product and post launch customer and product support.
Identifying and establishing channel partners, including OEM's, private label strategic alliances and distributors
. Build and manage a robust sales pipeline, driving lead generation, prospecting, and deal closure.
Collaborate with R&D and product development teams to align sales strategies with customer needs and industry
Trends. Drive contract negotiations and long-term agreements to secure key accounts and partnerships.
Leading the launch of new products or services in new markets, overseeing sales and marketing efforts to acquire new customers.
Building and managing a team of market development professionals responsible for market research, customer acquisition, and sales within new territories. Work closely with engineering and operations teams to ensure a seamless customer experience.
Tracking key metrics related to market penetration, revenue growth, and customer acquisition in new markets.

Job Requirements:
- Education: BS or MS degree - Engineering or Management
- Experience:
- 5+ years' experience in a high growth company in sales, business development, or market expansion in the composites, plastics, FRP, Sandwich Panel or industrial materials sectors.
- Proven success in developing new markets and launching technical products into untapped industries.
- Experience working with OEMs, distributors, suppliers & retailers
- Willingness to travel (domestically) as needed to meet customers and attend industry events
