Description
The Director of Marketing Operations & Process Management will be responsible for overseeing the Back End operations and process management of the marketing department.
This role focuses on streamlining processes, managing operational workflows, and optimizing vendor management to improve efficiency and ensure marketing operations are scalable.
The Director will lead a team dedicated to developing, documenting, and improving marketing processes, as well as managing key administrative functions such as budgeting, vendor contracts, and project coordination.
Key Responsibilities Process & Workflow Optimization:
- Lead the development and implementation of efficient marketing processes and workflows across all marketing teams, ensuring they are scalable and aligned with business objectives.
- Oversee the continuous improvement of operational workflows, identifying opportunities for automation and streamlining.
Project & Resource Management:
- Manage resource allocation and project workflows to ensure timely delivery of projects, working closely with cross-functional teams.
- Lead the management of marketing budgets, ensuring financial forecasting and vendor contracts align with organizational goals.
Team Leadership & Development:
- Lead a diverse team, including Marketing Operations Managers, Marketing Finance Managers, Project Managers, and Taxonomists, providing mentorship and career development opportunities.
- Foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement within the operations and project management team.
Governance & Documentation:
- Establish governance processes for marketing operations, ensuring that best practices are documented and adhered to across teams.
- Manage the development and maintenance of process documentation, ensuring consistency and clarity in procedures.
Minimum Qualifications Education:
- Bachelors degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience:
- 7+ years of experience in marketing operations, project management, or process management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Proven experience in managing marketing budgets, workflows, and resource allocation.
Skills:
- Strong organizational and project management skills with a focus on operational efficiency.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage cross-functional teams and complex projects.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Education: Masters degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- Experience with marketing technology platforms and systems.
