Meta is seeking a highly experienced audience marketing professional to help us grow awareness, adoption, and sentiment of Meta's Llama (Large Language Model Meta AI) among developers across the ecosystem, including startups and governments. A successful candidate must have a proven track record of building and scaling high-performing audience marketing teams and programs to drive awareness, adoption, and sentiment in the rapidly evolving GenAI and LLM space. As the CMO for Llama, this director will thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment and be willing to lead innovative, bold, and effective marketing programs and campaigns.

Director, Llama Marketing Responsibilities:

  1. Develop, innovate, and own the Llama audience marketing strategy to make it the most widely adopted, open source LLM in the world.
  2. Lead and build a high-performing team to execute the marketing strategy with an audience-first approach.
  3. Partner with cross-functional teams at Meta (partnerships, BD, product, marketing, legal, data science, etc.) to deliver impactful marketing campaigns.
  4. Oversee the work that powers the marketing flywheel-awareness, education, thought leadership, and engagement.
  5. Collaborate with experiential and scaled marketing teams to execute developer events, digital campaigns, case studies, and other activations.
  6. Manage creative, strategy, and operations agencies for campaign development, production, and digital content creation.
  7. Work directly with Data Science and Data Engineering teams to develop innovative measurement methodologies.

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. 15+ years of professional experience in technology, engineering, or marketing.
  2. 10+ years leading and managing diverse, high-performing teams, including managers.
  3. Experience launching and driving adoption of new products/services in the GenAI space with impactful campaigns and events.
  4. Ability to influence at all organizational levels, including executives and VP leaders.
  5. Experience working in fast-paced, entrepreneurial environments, with strong problem-solving and escalation skills.
  6. Excellent communication skills for articulating marketing plans and visions clearly and assertively.
  7. Ability to synthesize complex topics and communicate concepts clearly.
  8. Experience working directly with developers across various ecosystems, including tech companies, startups, and government.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Interest in GenAI; active member of the developer community in this space.
  2. Combination of creative and analytical thinking with a track record of execution within a data-driven framework.

Compensation and Benefits:

$296,000/year to $356,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits. Compensation varies based on skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Benefits details are available at Meta.
