Summary:
The Director of GTM Strategy - Pharmacy Benefit Management will play a pivotal role in driving strategic growth and enhancing the value proposition of SPS Health's PSAO (Pharmacy Services Administrative Organization). As part of a lean, entrepreneurial team, this role offers the opportunity to work in a newly launched product vertical with significant long-term growth potential. You will be instrumental in developing and maintaining strategic partnerships with PBMs, optimizing the network of pharmacies, and shaping the company's go-to-market (GTM) strategy through actionable feedback loops. Reporting directly to the Chief Revenue Officer, this position provides a chance to make a tangible impact on the trajectory of SPS Health's newest division.

Strategic PBM Engagement and Negotiation
- Lead negotiations with PBMs to secure competitive and mutually beneficial contractual terms that align with SPS Health's strategic goals.
- Develop a feedback loop with PBMs to gather insights that shape and enhance SPS Health's GTM strategy.
- Monitor PBM compliance with contractual terms, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and identifying areas for improvement.
- Oversee the financial analysis of network contracts to evaluate performance and impact.
- Position SPS Health's PSAO as a trusted and valued partner by effectively communicating the organization's value proposition.
Strategy and Go-To-Market Opportunities
- Analyze market trends and competitive landscapes to identify opportunities for expanding and optimizing the pharmacy network.
- Lead the go-to-market strategy for SPS Health's PSAO solutions, including identifying and defining new solutions, pricing models, and product-market fit
- Collaborate cross-functionally with teams such as finance, marketing, analytics, operations, IT, and the executive leadership to align PBM strategies with overall business objectives.
Relationship Management and Growth
- Build and nurture long-term, strategic partnerships with PBMs to identify growth opportunities and drive innovation in pharmacy services.
- Act as a trusted advisor to key customers, ensuring satisfaction with SPS Health's PSAO services and fostering loyalty.
Thought Leadership and Brand Building
- Represent SPS Health at industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to promote the PSAO division and build brand recognition.
- Deliver compelling, tailored presentations and proposals that resonate with PBM partners and the LTC customer base.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.
- Requires 6+ years professional work experience including at least 3+ years from a top tier management consulting firm with a focus in the healthcare industry.
- Understanding of the U.S. payer landscape, including commercial and Medicare Advantage lines of business. Knowledge of Medicaid managed care and exchange plans is highly valued.
- Proven experience in strategic negotiation and partnership development, ideally in healthcare services sector.
- Exceptional communication and consultative selling skills with the ability to frame solutions to address customer challenges proactively with a strong executive presence.
- Strong analytical skills, with experience interpreting financial and market data to inform strategy.
- Willingness to travel for client meetings and industry engagements as needed.
Work Environment
This role is a hybrid position with office presence required at our Denver, CO office. Travel within the U.S. is estimated at 30% per year. The emphasis is on travel for impact.
