As Director of Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS), you will play a critical leadership role in shaping and sustaining a culture of safety across EdgeCore's growing portfolio of data center construction and operational environments. Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Operations, you will work cross-functionally with Construction, Core Operations, Operational Excellence and vendor teams to ensure our EHS standards are not only met but consistently exceeded.
You will be responsible for managing EdgeCore's EHS strategy and program, partnering closely with internal and external stakeholders to drive compliance, improve processes, and promote accountability. This is a highly visible role with direct influence on day-to-day activities and long-term planning. Initially, you will lead one direct report with the opportunity to scale the function as the business grows.
- Own and lead EdgeCore's EHS program, ensuring policies are up-to-date, effective, and aligned with customer expectations and regulatory standards.
- Champion a proactive safety culture through employee and vendor engagement, recognition programs, and consistent reinforcement of EHS best practices.
- Guide teams in identifying, assessing, and mitigating high-risk and hazardous activities. Lead root cause analysis of incidents and oversee implementation of corrective actions.
- Monitor and report EHS performance through KPIs, audits, inspections, and regular field observations.
- Develop and deliver scalable EHS training programs for both employees and contractors to ensure understanding and adherence to safety standards.
- Play a hands-on leadership role in scaling the EHS function, including recruiting, onboarding, and developing future team members as the organization expands.
- Represent the company in safety-related discussions with customers and partners, demonstrating credibility and commitment to a best practice safety culture.
Your Experience and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, Industrial Safety, or a related field preferred.
- 7+ years of progressive EHS experience in construction, data centers, or other mission-critical environments.
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or equivalent certification preferred; OSHA 30-hour, First Aid/CPR/BBP, and AED certifications strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of hazard assessment, safety controls, incident investigation, and regulatory compliance.
- Experience with ISO 45001 or similar safety management systems is a plus.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills; able to clearly convey complex EHS topics to diverse audiences.
- High integrity, sound judgment, and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment and to travel 30-50% as needed.

- Base salary range is $160-200k, depending on experience
