Description Location: Hybrid/Fairfax, VA Clearance: Secret Plateau GRP is seeking candidates for the Director of Defense Operations, who will function as a leader in the areas of program management, resource coordination and solutions delivery across our Defense Solutions portfolio. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated individual with experience in all aspects of solutions delivery for Department of Defense (DoD) contracts and an excellent track record in client-facing positions. Responsibilities and Duties: Oversee the successful delivery of programs and portfolios by working closely with Technical Directors and Project Managers, ensuring efficient resource management, achievement of project timelines and coordination across diverse project domains and specialties. Work directly with company leadership on strategic initiatives regarding the company's Defense Solutions portfolio.
Train, mentor and supervise staff at all levels in business operations and solutions delivery.
Provide support to teams aligned to both software development and professional services on how to effectively integrate with projects and business development efforts. Regularly communicate progress, challenges, and technical decisions to project stakeholders and management
Research and evaluate new technologies that could benefit the company's offerings in Defense Solutions.
Requirements Bachelor's degree in business or technology areas is required; Masters Degree or MBA preferred.
10+ years of experience working on software contracting services in one or more of the following roles: project management, business development or technology delivery. 7+ years of direct project management experience on DoD contracts with progressively increasing responsibilities.
Experience with ideation, architecting and delivery of state-of-the-art technology solutions for DoD organizations.
Proven track record of delivering high levels of client satisfaction through excellent account/project management.
US Citizenship and Active DoD SECRET clearance is required.
