Job Summary
The Director of Consumer Insights & Marketing Analytics is a strategic leader responsible for driving a deep understanding of our consumers, market, and competitive landscape. The ideal candidate is comfortable leveraging traditional research, advanced data analytics, and market trends to create integrated, holistic business-driving insights that are unique to eos. The role will partner closely with cross-functional teams to ensure insights translate into impact on product innovation, brand positioning, campaign strategy, etc.
Responsibilities
Consumer & Marketing Insights
- Lead qualitative and quantitative research, including segmentation, A&U, brand tracking, concept testing
- Monitor and analyze marketing trends, consumer behavior, and competitor activities
- Translate insights into strategic recommendations that inform product and marketing strategies
Data-Driven Strategy & Performance
- Leverage analytics to support marketing team in refining strategies
- Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure effectiveness of marketing initiatives
- Regularly report on performance to leadership, with insights and recommendations for continuous optimization
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Build strong internal relationships with brand, ecommerce/digital, product, and commercial teams
- Lead insights sharing forums and strategic planning sessions
Advanced Analytics & Tools
- Oversee development of marketing & consumer performance dashboards and reporting
- Integrate disparate data from various sources, for holistic analysis
- Champion test-and-learn practices and continuous improvement
Leadership & Influence
- Manage vendor relationships and deliverables
- Distill complex data into compelling stories that influence executive decisions
- Contribute to long-range brand and business planning
Requirements
- 8-10+ years in consumer insights, analytics, or strategy roles (CPG/beauty/personal care a plus)
- Strong expertise in research methodologies, marketing analytics, and strategic foresight
- Proven ability to influence senior leadership with data-driven storytelling
- Proficiency with MS Office suite; experience with Nielsen, Numerator a plus
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
