The Director, Commercial Applications is the IT Business Partner supporting Intellia's Commercial team as we work towards the commercialization of our first product, NTLA-2002. This is a hands-on role that includes managing the commercial system build process and day-to-day operational work while leading projects.


Duties/Responsibilities

  • Effective communication skills to articulate complex technical solutions to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Oversee the implementation and integration of commercial IT systems with other enterprise applications (e.g., ERP, HR, financial systems).

  • Ensure that the IT systems architecture supports seamless end-to-end business processes.

  • Provide expert guidance on system selection, design, and architecture to improve functionality and user experience.

  • Lead cross-functional teams (IT, commercial, vendors) in the successful execution of projects.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with third-party vendors, ensuring service levels are met and projects are delivered efficiently.

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather requirements, prioritize projects, and ensure alignment with business needs.

  • Ensure commercial IT systems comply with internal policies and external regulatory requirements.

  • Promote data governance practices to ensure the integrity and privacy of commercial data.

  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a data-driven approach to decision-making.


Requirements

Skills/Abilities

  • Proven experience with CRM (Veeva), marketing automation, data management and other commercial applications.

  • Ability to effectively facilitate meetings (e.g., status meetings, functional requirements gathering, process flow development workshops, end user training, etc.)

  • Well organized with the ability to manage/prioritize multiple concurrent projects (often with changing timelines and dependencies) in a matrix team environment.

  • Business Process Flows, Master Data Management, and systems integrations


Education / Certifications


  • Bachelor's degree in related technical or business discipline is required. Experience in the pharmaceuticals, biotech, or medical device industry is required.


Experience


  • At least five years related experience required.


Physical Requirements


  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
