Title- Director, Commercial Forecasting PHARMA

My client, Mid Size PHARMA Company, is seeking a "Director, Commercial Forecasting -PHARMA" Professional.


In this role you will

key business partner for brand and senior leadership, responsible for developing forecasts, identifying risks/opportunities, and formulating strategies to optimize performance.

lead franchise-wide forecasting to support both short- and long-term business planning


Responsibilities:

  • Lead forecasting for North American (NA) pre-launch and in-line products.
  • Manage all short- and long-term forecasts for commercialized and pipeline products, collaborating with Finance, Marketing, and Sales.
  • Deliver objective forecasts, profiling opportunities/risks, and proposing strategic responses.
  • Develop key assumptions and scenario planning with NA Commercial and Global Forecasting teams.
  • Utilize data-driven approaches, incorporating epidemiology, brand share estimation, and competitive impacts.
  • Track forecast accuracy and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Implement robust forecasting standards aligned with business planning.
  • Monitor competitive market events and industry trends impacting forecast drivers.
  • Serve as a forecasting subject matter expert, assessing risks and opportunities.
  • Recommend appropriate forecast model inputs, leveraging various data sources.
  • Contribute to annual strategic planning for each franchise.
  • Ensure forecasts integrate critical market events and maintain stakeholder consensus.
  • Provide strategic commercial counsel and insights.

Requirements:

  • BS degree in Business or related field (MBA preferred).
  • 8+ years of forecasting experience in pharmaceutical/biotech industries.
  • Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical supply chains, data sources (IQVIA, epidemiology), and market research.
  • Expertise in Forecast Pro, Monte Carlo simulation, and advanced Excel/PowerPoint skills.
  • Strong leadership, strategic thinking, analytical skills, and cross-functional collaboration experience
  • Must be able to present to senior leadership and defend the forecasts.
