Director - Cardiovascular Services

Description:

JOB PURPOSE:
Administration and growth of the Cardiovascular Services service line within hospital entity, defining and maintaining standards of practice for service delivery and organizational performance strategies consistent with Piedmont Healthcare. Responsible for establishing the Cardiovascular Service Line objectives in collaboration with other clinical and operational stakeholders including essential physicians and other health care disciplines involved in the management of the Cardiovascular Services Line population. Serves as part of a collaborative management team focused on promoting the Mission, Vision, and Values of PHC and Cardiovascular Services, embracing a person-centered philosophy while promoting Cardiovascular Services across the continuum and enhancing value-driven outcomes. Responsible for designing the organizational structure to support services for Cardiovascular Services populations while ensuring quality patient care.

Qualifications:

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:
Bachelors degree in field related to healthcare required.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Seven (7) years of clinical experience in a hospital setting required. Three (3) years management experience required. Hospital setting preferred.
MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:
Depending on degree, associated current state license required.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Work experience with involving quality improvement, patient safety, process improvement or a close related field. Working knowledge of hospital, departments, and physician offices/clinics policies, procedures and regulations. Knowledge of laws, regulations, standards and guidelines imposed on healthcare systems by various agencies. Ability to develop strong working relationships with physicians, staff, patients, visitors, and Piedmont Healthcare partners.
