We maintain an independent perspective and create advocacy among clients and Oracle teams alike. We expect our Business Value Directors to bring extensive expertise in pragmatic business strategy. Team members typically come from top-tier management consulting and/or technology companies and share a passion for the business impact of technology. Our team members usually hold MBA or PhD degrees from top-rated institutions.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Advise senior sales leaders on strategic topics and program definitions to help them exceed targets.
- Lead multi-LOB engagement teams comprising senior experts from sales, pre-sales, consulting, and solution architecture to shape and drive key technology opportunities in EMEA.
- Participate in and ensure quality in customer engagements with CxO-level executives of Oracle's most strategic customers, ensuring superior customer satisfaction and creating better opportunities for Oracle.
- Provide direct deal support by leveraging knowledge of IT challenges and solutions, management consulting skills, and analytical abilities to identify key strategic drivers for CIOs, assess process capabilities, and develop business value propositions.
- Integrate knowledge of best practices, latest technology trends (e.g., cloud, big data, digitalization), operational and strategic IT objectives to define clear strategies and roadmaps with actionable value communication.
- Drive knowledge creation in strategic areas by synthesizing market trends and customer experiences into content and methodologies that can be leveraged.
- Demonstrate outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills; structure complex problems, develop hypotheses, and present well-supported solutions.
- Influence thinking and foster acceptance among multiple customer constituencies.
- Work on diverse problems where data analysis involves evaluating multiple factors.
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Several years of experience in management consulting with a focus on strategy and/or technology.
- Additional industry experience with leading technology or cloud companies in a senior functional/IT/strategy/sales role or senior management IT position is preferred.
- Proven track record of managing high-performing virtual teams.
- Action-oriented with a passion for fast-paced environments and a commitment to quality.
- Strong academic background, e.g., MBA (preferably from a top business school), MSc, or PhD.
- Experience operating at CxO stakeholder levels with credibility.
- Financial modeling, benchmarking, and quantitative skills, including developing and defending large-scale capital requests.
- Good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for solutions; ability to network with senior internal and external personnel.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and strong interpersonal skills, proven through practical experience.
- Fluency in English is mandatory; proficiency in a second language is a plus.
- Outstanding oral and written communication skills.
- A passion for digital, software, and IT fields.
