WHAT YOU'LL DO

NASM is hiring a Director of Business Solutions, reporting to the Head of Business Solutions. This leadership role will provide both strategic and tactical leadership to a talented team accountable for end-to-end business process optimization, scrum & sprint planning, application development, and quality engineering.

This role will partner with departmental leadership to development strategic business capability, platform and technology roadmaps while driving a culture of first time quality and on time delivery.

This individual will partner with other leaders in the organization to introduce new engineering concepts, provide delivery oversight, lead the platform sprint planning processes and align with overall portfolio planning, and governance process.

WHERE YOU'LL WORK

This position will work a hybrid schedule from our Gilbert, Arizona office location. Remote will also be considered for this position.

HOW YOU'LL SPEND YOUR TIME

  • Accountable for overall relationships between key business stakeholders, partners and service provider ecosystem for assigned business areas.
  • Develop near and long-term strategic capabilities & technological roadmaps in collaborations with business process owners.
  • Develop a high performing team of Engineers, Quality Engineers to deliver committed, world class solutions.
  • Ensure the DevOps practices are consistently applied, communicated and continuously improved.
  • Ensure quality, timely first-time delivery through strong development, testing and UAT processes.
  • Ensure continuous progress on automated development, QA and testing.
  • Responsible for organization change management and the ongoing engagement with stakeholders to define and articulate the "Why" for all NASM team members.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with business and technical staff on-site and in virtual environments.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer-related field.
  • 10+ years of technical experience, including 2+ years of people management experience.
  • Experience with a micro-services architecture, Azure cloud, and SaaS solutions.
  • Experience with B2C and B2B sales and support processes, preferred.
  • Lean Six Sigma green belt or higher preferred.
  • Experience with SDLC and agile software development methodologies. Demonstrated ability to implement agile practice in an organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to inspire confidence, ownership, and accountability in the platforms within scope.
  • Proven experience influencing and building trusted relationships across all levels of the organization.
  • Proven experience leading a high performing development team within a complex and matrixed organization.
  • A thought leader that adds value to the business and demonstrated ability to apply business logic to technical situations.
  • Demonstrated ability to create an atmosphere of accountability and ownership in a cross-functional and matrixed org.
  • Proven experience with applying a customer first or product mindset towards engineering.
  • A change agent that delivers results to customers.
