Required Qualifications: Applicants must specifically address how they meet these required qualifications to meet the requirements of the position.:- A bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education
- At least 5 years of experience working with advanced level budget processes.
- Ability to understand and explain regulations, policies, and complex legal and technical material.
- Working knowledge of budgetary processes and accounting principles including the ability to read and interpret complex financial, budget, and accounting reports
- Demonstrated understanding of human resource/employee relations processes including, but not limited to, recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and developing.
- Highly analytical, detail-oriented, and a passion for generating actionable insights from data trends.
- Demonstrate strong problem-solving and interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage workload effectively with conflicting deadlines and priorities.
- Demonstrate discretion and confidentiality in handling sensitive data.
- Proficient in all Microsoft Office suite applications and Adobe Sign (or other electronic document flow software)
Preferred Qualifications:- Master's degree in business or related field.
- Knowledge of university organizational structure or prior experience at an institution of higher education.
- Knowledge of university policies and procedures.
- Demonstrated skill in managing and forecasting budgets with multiple funding sources.
- Proficiency in enterprise level budgeting and human resource management software.
Job Description:Responsible for the administration and management of the day-to-day operations of a department within a division.
Job Duties:1.Budget Management and Financial Services
- Audit budget requests for the division and assist in the annual budget review and development process.
- Oversee the financial health of the division, managing budgetary processes and financial planning, forecasting, and modeling with a focus on supporting student-centered programs and services.
- Collaborate closely with the university's central budget functions to design and implement policies and programs tailored to the unique needs of the division.
- Analyze salary and operating budgets, prepare budget transfers, and approve financial transactions for the Division of Student Success.
- Analyze financial metrics to inform decision-making and work with departments to identify opportunities for resource optimization to benefit student success initiatives.

HR Support- Provide leadership in human resources matters within the Division of Student Success
- Collaborate closely with the university's central HR functions to design and implement policies and programs tailored to the unique needs of the division.
- Provide training and support for HR processes within the division, and update regular procedures as needed to reflect any process changes.
- Support departments in meeting key deadlines and requirements related to the merit process and performance management cycle.
- Manage and oversee the approvals and routing process for all HR and financial matters on behalf of the Vice President, including the creation, posting, and reclassification of positions, as well as the execution of hiring recommendations and other personnel actions, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely completion.
- Provide analysis and information in support of making sure that we are treating positions equitably throughout the division, avoiding salary compression when possible, and remaining aligned with central HR's compensation models.

Liaison and Collaboration- Serve as a key liaison between the Office of the Vice President for Student Success and department staff to maximize operational effectiveness.
- Promote strategic financial and human resource management and fiscal responsibility in the division's departments.
- Provide leadership in coordinating professional development opportunities for department business staff including leading regular meetings to enhance skills and competencies.
- Serve as a member of the Division of Student Success leadership team, contributing to strategic discussions, identifying cross-functional opportunities, and aligning business operations with the division's mission and long-term goals.

Operations Improvement and Strategic Planning- Ensure compliance with applicable laws, policies, and procedures within the division.
- Serve as a strategic consultant to directors and senior staff, providing guidance and insights to enhance their effectiveness in operational, financial, and human resource management within their departments and areas.
- Develop and implement recommendations for improving the efficiency and effectiveness of all business processes within the Division of Student Success.
- Partner with divisional leadership to develop, implement, and assess strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment between operational functions and the broader goals of student success.
- Lead change management and internal communications related to operational updates, ensuring divisional staff understand and adopt new processes, tools, and policies.
