Amentum is seeking a Business Development (BD)/Account Management Director who will be responsible for the business development and strategy ownership within a selected Intelligence Community account for the Intelligence and Cyber (I&C) Business Group. Supporting I&C Business Development, Strategy and Growth, the Director must manage business development lifecycle across an IC portfolio and has the principal responsibility to develop, maintain, and implement related Account Plans including associated pipeline opportunities in near-, medium-, and long-term acquisition timelines. The Director will serve as the primary portfolio liaison across I&C Business Group to represent equities and interests when pursuing opportunities with business groups across Amentum. The position requires the ability to simultaneously manage multiple, large-scale opportunities and proposals, collaborate with various business and technology leaders within I&C Business Group and across Amentum to develop technical solutions for our customers. The position also requires a working knowledge of IC customer priorities, organizations, competition, and acquisition strategies to best position Amentum to further shape customer requirements, drive differential solutions, and expand market capture. This role requires the ability to engage with customers about business opportunities, and to lead a diverse set of resources in the pursuit of opportunities. It also involves leading and/or guiding technical solutioning of both new and existing businesses, including capture and proposal activities. Primary Responsibilities: Serving as a primary point of contact for IC customer Cultivate and maintain customer relationships Identification and help prioritize opportunities that are aligned to business growth Support and play a major role in the development and maintenance of intelligence-related account plan aligned to strategy and growth priorities Develop win strategies and value proposition related to key pursuits Build internal and external industry partnership teams Simultaneously lead multiple pursuits Lead opportunities that exceed $500M or greater (total contract value) Plan and participate in client engagements and negotiations Represent Amentum at relevant forums (industry events, conferences, etc.) Develop, write, and submit white papers, RFI/Market Survey responses, and other pre-proposal activities Participate in or lead capture activities, to include opportunity gate reviews, black hat sessions, collaboration and workshop sessions, proposal reviews and meetings Qualifications Must have an Active Top Secret US Government Clearance with polygraph. Note: US Citizenship is required to maintain a Top-Secret Clearance with polygraph Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of intelligence-related business development and/or capture experience. Additional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree A proven track record of successful business development and capture management above $100M related to IC customers within the Washington-Virginia area Led multi-million-dollar business development/capture effort(s) Experience in building and managing an opportunity pipeline Developing, organizing, and executing significant business development and account planning activities, including teaming, assessing win probability, and executing customer call plans to shape acquisitions and win business. A track record of leading and winning large pursuits experience Led teams in a virtual environment; ability to work through others, and get results from teams that do not report directly to you Demonstrates strong verbal communication skills and prior experience briefing executives Willingness to travel to support customer visits and strategy workshops (estimated up to 25% annually as required) Primary work location is northern Virginia (Herndon/Chantilly). Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree in business administration, cybersecurity, or other disciplines complimentary to the organization's core service offerings Financial experience to understand pricing and other quantitative complexities of large bids Managed pipeline greater than $1B.
