VCS has high growth ambitions, aiming to more than double our business over the next five years. This role offers a unique opportunity to expand sales beyond core Visa offerings in the dynamic payments industry.

This position will partner with high-growth acquiring clients to meet ambitious targets for new commercial card acceptance, focusing on ecommerce. The scope covers the Pan-EU region, requiring travel to meet key clients. Business payments represent the largest untapped opportunity for Visa in Europe, and this role will be central to onboarding new flows onto the Visa network.

The role involves partnering with high-growth acquiring clients to achieve targets for new commercial card acceptance, with an emphasis on ecommerce. It covers the Pan-EU region and entails travel to meet regional clients. Business payments are a significant untapped market in Europe, and this role is key to integrating new payment flows into the Visa network.

Working in an agile setting, the candidate must be proactive, adaptable, and capable of adjusting strategies as new opportunities arise.

What we expect of you, day to day
  • Lead prospecting and customer acquisition strategies; collaborate with acquirers to promote the benefits of card payments to businesses and end-users.
  • Focus on increasing B2B card acceptance in ecommerce; identify opportunities with acquirers and marketplaces.
  • Coordinate with Account Executives to align opportunities with customer success and account plans, and build new relationships.
  • Understand acquirers' pain points and needs to develop compelling propositions for acceptance and issuing.
  • Be knowledgeable about B2B payment needs across different business sizes and understand acquiring and commercial banking dynamics.
  • Articulate the benefits of commercial card payments including working capital, fraud reduction, and frictionless transactions for buyers and suppliers.
  • Think creatively to create innovative deal structures beyond conventional approaches.
  • Research customer and market trends to identify potential new clients and opportunities.
  • Assess deal potential based on Visa product/solution knowledge and involve specialists as needed to drive deals forward.
  • Maintain a client-first sales approach and create tailored, differentiated solutions that grow Visa and client businesses.
  • Negotiate with awareness of deal margins and sell based on value to close deals efficiently.
  • Leverage internal and external partnerships to deliver the best solutions to clients.

This is a hybrid role; days in the office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

Experience
  • Senior B2B sales experience in acquiring and card payments.
  • Experience working with high-growth fintech acquirers, B2B software platforms, and ISVs.
  • Experience engaging with Treasurers, Finance, and Procurement leaders on working capital, ROI, and financial impacts.
Knowledge Focus Areas

Deep understanding of sales cycles and stages.

Skills/competencies

The ideal candidate will lead new customer acquisition activities, manage the entire sales cycle, collaborate across Visa functions, and serve as the external face of Visa. Passion for Commercial Payments, fintech, and acquiring, along with strong relationship-building skills, industry knowledge, resilience, and goal-oriented execution, are essential.
