The Job: As a Director, Brand Management, Black & Decker, you'll be part of our Tools & Outdoor team working as a remote employee. In this newly developed role, the Director, Brand Management - BLACK+DECKER will be a key contributor on the Tools & Outdoors Brand and Product leadership teams. Working in close proximity with product & commercial teams, with an entrepreneurial mindset, the primary objective for this leader is to support achievement of organizational brand value growth goals through the development & activation of impactful global marketing strategies. Through the leadership of a team of innovative marketing professionals, and by leveraging insightful marketing best practices this role will drive demand growth within our BLACK+DECKER, IRWIN, and LENNOX brand portfolio with a strategic direction for each respectively. The role requires flexibility and willingness to take on responsibilities and challenges as well as the ability to "roll up the sleeves" and be hands-on. You'll get to: + Lead the development of the global BLACK+DECKER brand marketing strategy. + Drive global brand positioning by partnering with BLACK+DECKER GM, Product, Licensing, and global cross-functional leadership to maintain brand identity, brand standards, & more to drive brand equity. + Develop and implement a comprehensive global marketing plans with clear objectives and KPI's. + Oversee development and execution of global marketing campaigns for key product launches and major brand initiatives, with strong support from regional marketing teams. + Remain apprised of industry, customer, and competitor insights + trends to support strategy. + Lead within a matrix organization and have critical influence over coordinated planning and collaborates closely with regional commercial & marketing teams. + Lead & partner with a high-performing team of Marketers while developing key skills and capabilities. + Translate Global objectives into strategic omnichannel programs to enhance customer acquisition and retention to achieve set KPI's. + Align with regional and global marketing teams on key initiatives, ensuring visibility to all work and collaborating with other teams to reduce duplication of work. + Oversee development and execution of global brand equity campaigns + Ensure marketing initiatives are integrated into the overall business plan by collaborating with stakeholders including product development, commercial, industrial design, Packaging, and regional marketing teams. + Evaluate market conditions to understand the competitive landscape and identify trends and opportunities for growth. + Review key regional marketing initiatives to ensure alignment to global brand objectives, brand standards and KPIs. + Support localization of the brand in different regions, elevating the product value proposition and brand positioning by working closely with regional marketing teams. You also have: + 8+ years of experience leading and executing brand marketing strategies (B2C) + 5+ years of experience leading and executing global marketing campaigns + Must possess a deep understanding of the end-to-end customer journey + Proven marketing & demand generation prowess within a global consumer product company is preferred + Experience leading major retail marketing initiatives is strongly preferred + Must possess exceptional marketing strategy fundamentals, including expertise in brand planning, digital marketing, go-to-market strategies, positioning, market research, brand storytelling. + Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with the ability to translate insights into actionable plans + Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complex issues and provide strategic counsel across a matrixed organization + Experience in building fruitful internal/external relationships & influencing at all levels + Highly proactive, organized, and adaptable leader with shown success leading cross-functional groups, achieving success through collaboration + Strong knowledge and understanding of multi & omni-channel marketing best practices to include retail, dealer, IR, Industrial, eCommerce, etc. Knowledge & Skills: + Ability to gather & interpret relevant data to craft effective marketing campaigns + Skilled in development & activation of impactful and collaborative partnerships + Must possess ability to develop effective multi-channel marketing strategy spanning Major Retail, Independent Retail, Dealer, eCommerce, & more. + Ability to effectively "story-tell" key influencers and decision-makers at all levels + Change Management Skills.
