Job SummaryThe Physician and Business Development Director manages all aspects of primary care business development, including but not limited to provider recruitment and retention, compensation, outreach and strategic growth, medical practice assessments, contract management and compliance, contractual negotiations, and execution of timely and cost-effective agreements. Establishes and oversees internal controls to guarantee contracts are implemented as negotiated. Oversees contract activities from acquisition planning through award and strategic contract administration. Develops and administers recruitment and compensation programs designed to attract and efficiently hire qualified, competent providers. Acts as the primary contact for provider compensation functions, ensuring compliance with federal regulations. Leads the annual physician strategic planning process.
Minimum Job RequirementsWork ExperienceFive years of experience in healthcare business development, physician recruitment, contract management, or business development experience required, preferably in a healthcare setting. Experience in physician recruitment and retention strategies. Strong understanding of healthcare contracts, compensation models and legal compliance.
Five years of management experience required.
License/Registration/CertificationNone
Education and TrainingBachelor's degree in a related field is required. A Master's degree preferred.
