The Director of Business Intelligence and Analysis will be responsible for providing organizational leadership, management, sponsorship, and promotion of business intelligence as well as for insuring appropriate leveraging of departmental and enterprise data to make intelligent business decisions. The individual will be responsible for resource and financial management, setting Business Analysis department vision and goals, and working with executive leadership to drive business intelligence maturity for the organization; and other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; Master's degree preferred
  • Eight or more years overall experience, including at least 3 years' experience in Business Intelligence projects and technologies
  • Experience in project management
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Must be able to interface effectively with all levels of the organization
  • Technical experience to include work with data warehouse, BI reporting and ETL technologies
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

1.Works collaboratively with FPI Executive leadership and Practice Management to achieve reporting end goals for critical projects, programs, and commitments focused on revenue cycle management and improvement. Review metrics to ensure alignment of revenue cycle performance with the practices overall financial results.
2.Directs and coordinates consistent data usage and deployment across FPI through a common architecture and framework to promote use of common metrics, speed of delivery and optimal availability and usefulness.
3.Sets the vision and direction for gathering, storing, and presenting data to support decision making and analytics, for both internal and external customers, leveraging best practice data warehousing concepts and various methods of data presentation.
4.Coordinates data element usage and business metric definitions across projects for critical reporting requirements to include quality reporting under CMS
5.Maintains strategic approach with multiple internal demands for resources and project prioritization.
6.Directs and manages the work assignments and priorities of Business Analysis team to ensure effective delivery of projects, analyses/reports, and responsibilities in support of FPI business objectives and goals. Develop business-driven BI strategy and convert into executable tasks.

Total Rewards
The referenced base salary range represents the low and high end of University of Maryland's Faculty Physician's Inc. salary range for this position. Some candidates will not be eligible for the upper end of the salary range. Exact salary will ultimately depend on multiple factors, which may include the successful candidate's geographic location, skills, work experience, market conditions, internal equity, responsibility factor and span of control, education/training and other qualifications.
