Main Purpose and Objectives of Position:

The Lebanon API Manufacturing facility will be digitally enabled from start-up with fully digital and integrated production processes and systems. To support and enable the running of this plant a robust Digital Plant Analyst is required. This role will have the responsibility of partnering with IT and business to help define the digital roadmaps for each business areas. They will need to work with the stakeholders in Lebanon API and the global M&Q organization to ensure delivery of the solutions prioritized for LP1 at start-up.

The digital plant analyst is responsible for delivering the strategy, and helping setting up the teams and processes for its continued expansion, maintenance, and support. They are also responsible for delivery of the solutions (in partnership with the other IT SMEs) utilizing the site IT capabilities that will enable the efficient running of this facility. In addition this resource will own the long term continuous improvement IT roadmap for the site.

Requirements for the Role:

  • Deep Knowledge on Data, IT systems and MQ business processes.
  • Demonstrated experience in design and delivery of manufacturing/business IDS solutions (MES, Data and Analytics etc)
  • Demonstrated ability to lead. Guide IT and business reps on problem resolution and digital solution design and implementation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of plant operations required to ensure digital solutions meet business requirements
  • Ability to network both within site and at a global level.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a willingness to lead others through processes.
  • Strong knowledge of continuous improvements methodologies such as Lean, 6 Sigma, etc.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Embedded in site strategic initiatives working within IDS and with site stakeholders to develop digital plant vision and roadmaps to deliver this.
  • Be a key player in influence of site leadership on digital strategy to ensure technology is seen as an enabler for the Limerick strategic initiatives.
  • Provide input to Business Plan and site strategic exercises to drive progress on digital direction.
  • Develop an in-depth understanding of business processes at LP1. Apply knowledge to digital solutions to support the business processes. Work with representatives across the site to analyze opportunities and implement solutions that maximize business value.
  • Critically evaluate user requests and use technical and process knowledge to determine underlying true business needs.
  • Collaborate with developers and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision and analyze trade-offs between usability and performance needs.
  • Provide expertise and leadership in the development and integration of IT solutions that support systems and business processes.
  • Develop or update project plans including the determination of project activities and milestones. Provided oversight of multiple project and communications status.

Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree/Masters in IT or a related discipline.
  • 7+ years of work experience in pharma or equivalent environment & have worked in several different roles.


Additional Responsibilities:

  • Provide input to Business Plan and site strategic exercises to drive progress on digital direction.
  • Oversee activities of contractors and Lilly employees related to their assignments.
  • Travel 10%to 15%

Actual compensation will depend on a candidate's education, experience, skills, and geographic location. The anticipated wage for this position is

$123,000 - $180,400

Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual performance).
