The Wakefern Digital Marketing team is a dynamic and creative group of digital experts who are responsible for planning, creating, and managing engaging digital experiences for our customers.

The Digital Optimization & Insights Analyst is responsible for analyzing site performance and customer behavior to uncover insights that drive digital strategy. This role will play a key part in optimizing the user experience through data-driven recommendations, SEO improvements, and oversight of the digital circular execution.

Essential Functions:

Essential functions for the Digital Optimization & Insights Analyst are:

  • Analyze site traffic, user behavior, and conversion metrics to identify opportunities for digital experience improvements.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports that track key performance indicators (KPIs) across the site and mobile app.
  • Conduct SEO audits and implement optimization strategies to improve visibility and organic traffic.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to test, measure, and refine website and campaign performance.
  • Audit and support execution of the digital circular, identifying and resolving data or display issues.
  • Develop & maintain digital circular performance to assess shopper engagement, identify trends and inform future strategy.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to improve user experience, navigation, and customer journey.
  • Monitor, analyze & report on performance of digital marketing efforts, promotions, and campaigns.
  • Assist in defining requirements and evaluating enhancements that support personalization and digital engagement.
  • Translate data findings into clear, actionable insights for business partners and leadership.
  • Serve as the key stake holder in identifying site optimization opportunities to drive customer engagement

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in SEO strategy, digital analytics, or e-commerce, preferably in a retail or grocery environment.
  • Proficiency with SEO tools (e.g., SEMrush, Screaming Frog) and web analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, Looker Studio, Google Search Console).
  • Strong understanding of on-site and technical SEO, including metadata, structured data, site architecture, and mobile-first indexing.
  • Basic understanding of HTML/CSS/JavaScript.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data into clear, actionable insights.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills; ability to work cross-functionally with content, marketing, and technical teams.
  • Self-motivated and proactive, with a passion for digital innovation and continuous improvement.

Working Conditions & Physical Demands:

  • Ability to monitor computer screens for long periods of time
  • Ability to work a hybrid schedule, with a current requirement of 4 days in person, as established by the division
  • Ability to flex hybrid schedule to attend important meetings and vendor or store visits based on business needs
