Overview: Reporting to the Director of Digital Merchandising, the Digital Merchandising Manager leads the digital commerce strategy across all SNIPES categories-Footwear, Apparel, and Accessories-to drive revenue and deliver a premium shopping experience. This role owns end-to-end digital merchandising execution, aligning seasonal, hype, and promotional strategies across all digital touchpoints.
This position blends art and science-balancing creativity and analytics-to optimize product discovery, boost conversion, and increase profitability. You'll lead a team of digital merchandisers, collaborate across marketing, buying, and tech teams, and use data to fuel continuous improvement. Responsibilities
Strategy, Merchandising & Promotions
• Lead the development and execution of digital merchandising strategies across categories, aligning with hype drops, merchant priorities, seasonal trends, and omni-channel goals.
• Optimize product discoverability through strategic management of rankings, onsite search, taxonomy, and category navigation.
• Lead the end-to-end sneaker release process-ensuring flawless, on-time product launches.
• Manage digital promotional execution, from building promotions in SFCC to balancing revenue goals and margin targets, to QAing live promotions ensuring 100% accuracy (promo pricing, adhering to MAP policies, etc.)
• Ensure all in-stock products are accurately represented with complete data, imagery, and attributes.
• Align digital and in-store messaging and marketing to create a seamless customer experience across touchpoints.
• Partner with Marketing, Creative, and Social Media teams to prioritize product storytelling and support homepage and campaign strategies.
• Drive A/B testing initiatives and communicate results to stakeholders, turning insights into measurable improvements.
Analytics & Optimization
• Use performance data (conversion, bounce, reviews, etc.) to continuously optimize product assortments and increase profitability.
• Provide regular reporting and insights on key performance indicators to senior leadership, informing strategic business decisions.
• Partner with Customer Experience to resolve product issues quickly and cleanly.
Innovation & Digital Evolution
• Evaluate and optimize existing technologies for performance, efficiency, and ROI; stay current on emerging tools and assess their impact on CX and revenue.
• Identify new eCommerce opportunities beyond current assumptions to meet evolving customer needs, leveraging competitive insights and market trends.
• Foster a test-and-learn culture across merchandising-encouraging continuous experimentation with content, layout, and digital capabilities.
• Manage strategic vendor and technology partnerships to support digital growth.
Leadership & Team Development
• Lead, mentor, and inspire the digital merchandising team.
• Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous learning.
• Train the team in best practices, emerging tools, and digital trends.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree required; 5+ years in digital merchandising or eCommerce
• Proven ability to translate data into strategy and action.
• Hands-on experience with ecommerce analytics, reporting, and testing tools.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities.
• Experience with Salesforce Commerce Cloud, Algolia, and ContentSquare is a plus.
• Deep understanding of online merchandising mechanics: taxonomy, search, ranking, product content, and promotional setup.
• Prior experience in an omni-channel environment preferred.
• Strong leadership presence and ability to coach and develop talent.
• Curious, flexible, and comfortable pushing boundaries to drive growth.
• Expert in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
