Location: Beaverton, OregonJob Type: ContractCompensation Range: $38 - 42 per hourWe are looking for consumerists with an affinity for product and sport that enjoys the energy of moving at the pace of retail and the consumer. This role is responsible for adapting & curating consumer right assortments with end in mind for the Direct Digital business by using historical data, analytics and real-time market feedback to advise the future (coming seasons) while winning today (in-season read & react/selling & serving).We work closely with fellow merchants, buyers and cross-functional teams within Direct; in particular Digital and Stores Buying, Consumer Merchandising, Planning, Allocation, Site Merchandising and Brand Marketing. We also work with finance, operations and the insights/analytics teams; relying on business reporting which includes quantitative and qualitative metrics on sales, inventory and consumer behaviors. Will work closely with 3 rd party vendors to ensure moments are actualized in real time on digital platformsThe candidate should possess proven retail competence and analytical abilities, have an understanding of retail environments, knowledge and passion for sports and bring a consumerist perspective to the team and business.Responsibilities:You will own bringing the seasonal assortment to life on the Digital platforms. You will understand related aspects of the business and marketplace in making your plans, including coordinating between genders, brands and how individual products or collections impact each other. You will collaborate cross functionally to ensure assortment plans meet consumer demand and strategies execute.You will hone consumer-centric assortment plans across multiple seasons with an understanding of Direct's position in the market & competitive landscape to blend fact-based and intuitive inputs. You will participate in seasonal buy reviews and in-season trading to influence actions to optimize growth with your critical partners. Qualifications:Requires Bachelor's Degree or additional 2 years experience in lieu of degree.2-4 years experience in footwear or apparel buying and/or merchandising, product creation and/or retail in a vertical, multi-brand or digital environment.Strong affinity for current market trends for Sports and knowledge of the different lead leagues and teams.Footwear, Apparel, Equipment or relevant consumer product buying and/or merchandising experience.
