Job Description: SUMMARYProvides setup and operation of A/V equipment systems for high profile Events College-wide as well as providing presentation support to internal and external clients before and during live events. Provides assistance with the installation and technical support of A/V systems and equipment College-wide.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Provides assistance with the Set up and Operation of complex A/V events, including audio setup and calibration and microphone frequency scanning
- Provides assistance with A/V technical support college wide including campus learning commons, theatre/auditoriums, ATC classrooms and various A/V presentation systems
- Provides assistance with installation of A/V equipment/systems College-wide
- Provides support as needed to the Television & Video Services departments
- Maintains inventory control of equipment and provides inventory reports and recommendations regarding equipment purchases
- Anticipates and meets all customer needs accurately, professionally, and with a commitment to customer satisfaction
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
REQUIREDEDUCATIONAND EXPERIENCE/TRAINING- Associate's Degree or technical certificate in Recording Arts, A/V Technology or related field
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a related field
KNOWLEDGE,SKILLS and ABILITIES- Possess valid Ohio Driver's License
- Ability to work evening and/or weekend hours, as required
- Skills in keyboarding, basic math and grammar
- Basic skills in MS Word and Excel
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to exercise good judgment and discretion in the performance of regular work
- Sensitivity to respond appropriately to the needs of a diverse population
PERFERRED(Or equivalent job-related experience providing the necessaryknowledge, skill, and abilities to perform the functions of this positionproficiently)
EDUCATIONAND EXPERIENCE/TRAINING- 3 years of experience in a related field
KNOWLEDGE,SKILLS and ABILITIESPHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONSMustbe able to occasionally stand; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; lift up to 60 pounds alone and 150 assisted. Must be able to regularly walk. Must be ableto frequently sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands andarms; and talk or hear. Special vision requirements include close, distance,color, peripheral, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Must beable to work in an environment with a moderate noise level and continuousinterruptions.
