Under the general guidance of the Executive Director (ED), the Digital Media and Marketing Specialist (DMS) is responsible for planning, organizing, and overseeing print and digital communications initiatives for CAPIAA. In partnership with the Manager of Communication and External Affairs, the DMS will handle day-to-day tasks including design, visual communications, digital/social media, video production, event-based media, and other outreach efforts aligned with CAPIAA's goals. This role operates at a professional and technical public relations level, utilizing creativity, innovation, and strategic thinking to enhance CAPIAA's visibility and impact. The DMS will also develop comprehensive communication strategies for API Equity Budget grantees, working closely with various stakeholders to create a unified communication plan and statewide toolkits. This position requires crafting engaging messaging to build stakeholder engagement, boost public awareness, and encourage community participation.
