POSITION SUMMARY Our client is seeking a data-driven, creative, and collaborative
Digital Marketing Strategist to lead their digital advertising and email marketing efforts. This role will play a critical part in driving membership growth and retention, boosting engagement with our online content, and advancing the mission of the world's largest nonprofit photography association.
You'll develop strategy and oversee implementation across paid media, email campaigns, and digital engagement channels-all while leading a talented in-house team and working alongside our copywriter, designers, and project manager - you'll help shape the voice and visibility of a 35,000-member community of working photographers.
SCOPE - Develop and execute digital advertising strategies across Google Ads, Meta, YouTube, and Google Search
- Plan, build, and analyze targeted email campaigns using Mailchimp to support membership recruitment, retention, events, and content promotion
- Oversee campaign execution in collaboration with internal teams (copywriting, design, social media, and project management)
- Use GA4, Looker Studio, and other tools to evaluate and report on campaign performance; make recommendations for continual improvement
- Guide and mentor a team that includes an SEO specialist, copywriter, graphic design team, social media specialist, and project manager
- Collaborate on the planning and execution of organic digital content (email, web, social media) to ensure a cohesive cross-platform strategy
- Stay current on digital marketing, the best practices and trends, particularly in nonprofit membership and content-driven organizations
WHAT YOU NEED - Minimum of 3 years' experience in digital marketing, preferably with a focus on advertising and email campaigns
- Proficiency with Google Ads, Meta Ads, YouTube advertising, and Google Search
- Hands-on experience with GA4, Looker Studio, and Mailchimp (or similar ESP)
- Strong knowledge of SEO and organic social media strategies
- Excellent communication and project management skills
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and deliver results based on KPIs
- Google Ads Certification
