Ministry Overview
Christian Aid Mission seeks to establish a witness for Christ in every nation by assisting indigenous ministries who are sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ in some of the world's most difficult mission fields, giving priority to ministries making disciples among unreached people groups. Today, we work with hundreds of indigenous ministries in eight regions of the world that share the gospel with more than 2,000 unreached people groups.

Position Overview

The Digital Marketing Specialist supports the digital marketing strategy by implementing tactics to increase traffic to the christianaid.org website and promote an online presence. Develops, curates, and deploys compelling content to attract, engage, and retain visitors and donors. Utilizes search engine optimization (SEO) and search engine marketing (SEM) techniques. Collects and analyzes online statistics to identify trends and optimize online marketing performance.

This position is also responsible for driving engagement through Christian Aid Mission's digital footprint, including but not limited to, Christian Aid Mission website, eCommunications, apps and podcasts. The Digital Marketing Specialist sets up and executes all eCommunications in MailChimp.

The Digital Marketing Specialist reports to the Director of Communications and is a member of the Marketing team. This is a highly collaborative position that works closely with the VP of Marketing and Development and other members of the Marketing Team.

This is a Full-time Hybrid position requiring some days in our Charlottesville, VA office each week.

Essential Responsibilities
  1. Website
Ensures that all new content to the website is properly indexed for search engine optimization and that the site is being read by Google Analytics.
  1. Ecommunications
Implements all Ecommunication campaigns from MailChimp. Leverages reporting from Mail Chimp and reports on best converting subject lines, click-throughs, engagement and income on all Ecommunication streams to donors.
  1. Apps/Podcasts

In collaboration with the Director of Communications and Lead Designer, manages content on Christian Aid Mission's app. Ensures that content is relevant and fresh as well as implements Prayerline to go out as a daily alert. Monitors app for usage, conversions, etc., and reports back to the Marketing team. Edits and produces the Missions Insider podcast.

Key duties:
  • Implement all Ecommunication campaigns through MailChimp as well as provide reporting on campaigns, make recommendations based on analytics
  • Implements and maintains SEO on website
  • Implements all donate pages and creates applicable coding in the CMS
  • Manages Google Ads and implements targeted ad campaigns utilizing Google grants, as well as Microsoft Ads
  • Regular audits of web pages (WordPress) for usability and functionality
  • Produce and edit Missions Insider Podcast
  • Import and manage content on Christian Aid Mission's app
Qualifications
  • Knowledge of missions and strong commitment to organizational mission
  • Understanding of SEO, user engagement, and web metrics
  • Knowledge of Google Analytics and understanding of the stats
  • Strong analytical skills, ability to interpret data, analyze campaign performance, and make data driven decisions.
  • Knowledge of email marketing
  • Good project management skills, detail oriented, and capable of establishing and summarizing priorities.
  • Collaborative team player
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledgeable about the various areas and ministries served by the organization
Experience

1-3 years of digital marketing including Search Engine Optimization (SEO), Search Engine Marketing (SEM), Paid Search (PPC) as well as experience in MailChimp, Word Press and Google Analytics.

Education

BA/BS degree in Marketing preferred or equivalent experience.
