The Marketing and Communications department seeks a Digital Marketing Specialist to collaborate with the School of Professional Studies (SPS) team in executing digital marketing strategies. This role involves managing marketing emails, social media, event planning, and optimizing content across digital platforms to drive traffic, engagement, and increase enrollments for SPS. Additionally, the position supports the marketing and communications team in implementing SEO best practices for the University website.
SPS Marketing Strategy and Content Management
• Help develop and implement the marketing strategy for SPS, leading the execution of key initiatives across channels to help drive awareness and enrollment goals.
• Lead the project management of all new SPS marketing requests, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope.
• Manage SPS Facebook and LinkedIn groups, including approving member requests and creating content to engage the community.
• Maintain and update the content calendar for SPS's social media channels, ensuring consistent and relevant messaging.
• Oversee and optimize SPS email automation, conducting A/B tests to improve engagement and refine messaging.
• Identify opportunities to expand SPS content offerings, such as articles, videos, podcasts, and other formats.
• Provide performance insights and summaries through Looker Studio reports, supporting data-driven decision-making for the Associate Director of Digital Marketing.
• Stay informed about the target audience and market trends, continually analyzing the competitive
landscape to refine strategies and content to stay ahead in the market.
• Identify opportunities to cross-sell or up-sell additional services for SPS.
• Conduct A/B testing on SPS web pages to gather insights and optimize content performance.
SEO Strategy and Website Optimization
• Provide ongoing SEO recommendations to improve website visibility and user experience.
• Monitor SERP rankings and conduct keyword research to inform content updates and optimizations.
• Manage SEO initiatives and lead meetings with our vendors to discuss strategies.
• Analyze internal search results to ensure they meet user expectations and enhance the overall user experience.
• Maintain SEO best practices across all owned digital channels.
• Ensure proper tagging and tracking best practices for SEO and performance analytics.
Other Miscellaneous Tasks
• Possess knowledge of how Google and Bing Ad platforms function to provide support for campaigns if required.
• Foster continuous skill development and professional growth.
• Contributes to sustaining and enhancing an inclusive working and learning environment.
Required:
• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of demonstrated experience in email marketing, social media management, and project coordination.
• Knowledge of social media platforms and experience in page management.
• Ability to contribute to the management and planning of events.
• Working knowledge of GA4 (Google Analytics 4) and Google Tag Manager platforms.
• Team player with excellent collaboration, communication, and writing skills.
• Strong desire for continuous learning, testing new initiatives, and personal growth.
• Proactive problem solver with the ability to work independently.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and navigate shifting deadlines
Preferred:
• Experience using Pardot or Marketing Cloud.
• Familiarity with digital advertising platforms (Google Ads, Bing Ads, and Programmatic) and campaign management.
• Knowledge of the Coveo platform.
• Proficient in SEO best practices and tools.
• Relevant certifications (such as Google Ads, Google Analytics, etc.).
• Proficiency in Google Looker Studio.
• Familiarity with website personalization tactics, with preferred experience in Salesforce integration and/or Customer Data Platform (CDP).
• Experience with Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) and enhancing webpages to increase overall leads for the school.
Physical Requirements:
• Typical office or administrative working conditions. Staff is not exposed to adverse environmental conditions. Work is primarily sedentary in nature; there are no special physical demands.
• Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on telephone
• Work may require the ability to travel by car, air, and/or rail to local MCPHS and SPS events off-campus.
