We're known for our direct-to-consumer model, data-driven marketing, and rapid expansion. As we gear up for even greater scale, we're looking for a strategic Ads & Email Marketing Manager to help assist our paid media and lifecycle marketing efforts.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a full-time, in-person Ads & Email Marketing Manager who can help lead paid ad campaigns (Meta, TikTok), optimize TikTok Shop strategy, and scale email/SMS programs. You'll help own performance, vision, budgeting, and growth strategy of these channels. This isn't a role for someone who needs step-by-step instructions - it's for a creative, analytical thinker who thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth e-commerce environment.
You will be working alongside a Marketing Director who has been with Sleepyhead for over 3 years and is deeply familiar with the brand. This role will help support her in managing departmental functions, with each team typically having two people.
Key Responsibilities:
Paid Media Strategy & Execution:
- Optimize paid media channels across Meta (Facebook/Instagram), TikTok, and Pinterest.
- Develop and execute full-funnel campaigns with clear performance targets (ROAS, CAC, AOV).
- Allocate ad spend strategically across platforms, monitor pacing, and reallocate budget based on performance data.
- Lead the creative direction for ad content, collaborating with our creative and influencer teams.
Email & SMS Marketing:
- Manage flows, campaigns, and A/B tests using Klaviyo and Attentive.
- Build customer journeys for key segments (prospects, students, parents, repeat buyers).
- Drive open rates, CTR, conversion, and LTV through segmentation and behavioral triggers.
TikTok Shop & Influencer Marketing:
- Scale TikTok Shop sales by optimizing product listings, bundles, reviews, and short-form video content.
- Partner with influencers to drive awareness, engagement, and conversion through user-generated content (UGC).
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop performance reports.
Budgeting, Projections & Analysis:
- Help with paid ads and email budget, making data-informed decisions on allocation and spend efficiency.
- Create and maintain forecasting models that tie spend to revenue targets.
- Report weekly performance results with clear insights and action steps.
Team Collaboration & Leadership:
- Work cross-functionally with creative, operations, and leadership teams to align on marketing calendar and promotions.
- Drive accountability and visibility around campaign goals, performance, and learnings.
- Present strategy, projections, and results directly to the CEO and executive leadership.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in performance marketing or e-commerce media buying.
- Proven track record scaling Meta and TikTok campaigns profitably.
- Strong understanding of email/SMS best practices and experience with Klaviyo or similar tools.
- Comfortable managing $250K-$750K/month in ad spend.
- Skilled in data analysis, budget ownership, and revenue forecasting.
- Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets and working knowledge of attribution tools.
- Strategic thinker with executional grit and creative judgment.
