SUMMARY

The Digital Marketing Coordinator Administrator is responsible for assisting in the management of all electronic marketing, website, database and social networking activities for the Grand Traverse Resort & Casino (GTR&C) properties, including Turtle Creek Casino, Grand Traverse Resort and Spa, and Leelanau Sands Casino. Primary responsibilities will be to assist in content management, email marketing, and social marketing activity for three (3) property websites. The goal of the Digital Marketing Coordinator is to help continuously grow visitor traffic and online engagement for all three GTR&C property websites and social sites.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Assist with the management of the Casino's (GTRC) public websites ( ) on a daily basis, including content updates, graphics, and writing.
  • Assist with daily content creation and regular management of the GTRC's social networking program (e.g. Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, etc.) for all revenue generating departments.
  • Assist with the management of the GTRC's Internet advertising campaigns, including third-party Search Engine Optimization (SEO) program and Pay Per Click (PPC) program.
  • Work closely with Hotel Manager(s) to manage and improve overall online reservations, including GTRC's online booking engine and third-party travel sites.
  • Coordinates with Graphics department to maintain attractive, exciting and functional website.
  • Manage and facilitate the GTRC's email marketing program, including annual email marketing plan, writing, database management, and campaign analytics.
  • Perform marketing database and eCommerce analytics (e.g. Google Analytics).
  • Initiates and conducts market analyses to determine customer needs, new business opportunities, innovative Digital Marketing Coordinator trends, as well as potential electronic selling strategies.
  • Assist with monthly Digital Marketing Coordinator report, detailing results, trends and ROI.
  • Assist with copywriting for various campaigns, including email marketing, website content and social networking posts.
  • Consults with all departments within the organization to continually update and improve websites.
  • Maintain absolute best possible website/internet presence within the industry.
  • Develop and maintain strong interpersonal relations with internal and external clientele, both current and prospective.
  • Must understand and abide by all environmental practices of Grand Traverse Resort & Casinos.
  • Willingness to cross-train and provide support in related areas of operations.
  • All other duties as assigned.

OTHER NECESSARY SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Advanced project management, organizational, and prioritization skills. Experience with online analytics software. Experience with online social campaign software. Ability to learn new software programs quickly. Must possess excellent oral and written communications with a orientation to detail. Must effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, staff and vendors, both technical and non-technical users. Must remain up to date on current and emerging technologies. PC and Macintosh computer experience preferred. Must be able to pass a background investigation and a drug screening as a condition of employment.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

Must have a Bachelors Degree (B.A.) in Marketing related studies with two (2) or more years of Internet marketing experience. Requires knowledge of the latest in e-marketing , including Web, social, and mobile marketing. High level of proficiency in Word, Excel, Power Point is a must. Basic level of proficiency in Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, and Adobe Acrobat.

DRIVING REQUIREMENTS

Must have a valid Michigan driver's license and be insurable by the Tribes' insurance carrier.

TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Must be physically able to operate a variety of job-related machines and/or office equipment. Must be able to move or carry job-related objects or materials. Physical demand requirements are at levels of those for sedentary or office environment.

TYPICAL MENTAL DEMANDS

This position requires someone that has the knowledge, skills, and critical decision making to property represent Grand Traverse Resort & Casinos to the public at large. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Position is highly independent and must meet various deadlines. Requires ability to solve practical problems with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. There may be unexpected demands set on this position for additional work or urgent work.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Generally located within an office environment, but on occasion will be subject to work in a crowded, loud, smoking environment. Must be able to handle being under constant surveillance. This position may require 40+ hours per week.

COMMENTS

Native American and Tribal Preference will apply. Must be able to pass a background investigation and a drug and alcohol urinalysis as a condition of employment. Must be able to work flexible hours and to take on additional responsibilities when asked. Must adhere to company policies regarding strict confidentiality.
