PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY At Clearwater Marine Aquarium (CMA), our digital efforts are a cornerstone of our marketing, communication and sales efforts. The Digital Marketing Coordinator will work directly with the Digital Marketing Department to assist in all digital marketing related projects. Duties will include social media monitoring, content sourcing and creation, tracking and reporting on campaigns, updating website assets, assisting with email programs (i.e. monthly adoptions) and handling general digital marketing activities. This individual must be flexible to attend weekend and evening events as needed to gather content for social, web, advertising and email campaigns. They will research and understand market trends and make recommendations on how and where they are applicable in current and upcoming campaigns.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:- Collaborate with Social Media Specialist to: optimize, maintain, and monitor all of Clearwater Marine Aquarium's social platforms: Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, Pinterest, Blog, etc.
- Digital content creation for social, email, website, ads and other.
- Interaction with digital followers: community engagement.
- Monitoring: digital media and social channels.
- Gather data for monthly digital performance reports.
- Collaborate with Digital Campaign Manager, Social Media Marketing Manager and Digital Content Strategist to ensure all campaign requirements are met.
- Monitor Google Alerts as well as other mentions of CMA.
- Assist with website edits and updates.
- Assist with email campaigns including content, copy writing and delivery.
- Research and identify opportunities for influencers and online partnerships.
KEY JOB EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: - Strong knowledge of social media platforms and best practices
- Very strong writing and editing skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Organizational, time management and problem-solving skills and the ability to work accurately and meet deadlines.
- Strong Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ability to exercise flexibility (including schedule), initiative, good judgment and discretion.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Able to learn and adapt to new software as needed.
- Professional courtesy to handle difficult and challenging online users.
EXPERIENCE IN ANY OF THE FOLLOWING IS A BONUS, BUT NOT REQUIRED:
- Experience with Photoshop, Illustrator, HTML, CSS, HubSpot, WordPress, and CRM systems are a plus.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED - B.S. in Marketing, Advertising/PR, Computer Science or similar field.
- Minimum 1-2 year experience in marketing field, preferably digital marketing or equivalent experience.
