Summary of position: A member of the Marketing Department, the Digital Marketing Coordinator, manages the website at large from an inventory, brand, style, and voice perspective across and within our portals. From crafting and maintaining core content to managing contributions from content creators across the organization, the Digital Marketing Coordinator is a user experience visionary whose curiosity and creative approach is balanced by an eye for consistency and efficiency. This Coordinator works closely with the team to interpret data from our website and implement search engine optimization strategy to our main webpages. To ensure a cohesive experience, this strong writer will also support CRM campaigns that help guide a student through the predeparture process. A strategic creative, the Digital Marketing Coordinator is a user-first innovator who is always looking for ways to elevate our digital experience for both users and contributors.
Essential job responsibilities & duties: Online Content Management & Design - Set the content strategy for the IES Abroad website, including what content is created, when, where, why, by whom, and for how long
- Serve as visionary for the web user experience and campaign user experience, from application to confirming a student's spot on the program
- Create and maintain all content in the main menu of the website, with particular ownership of and strategy for high-level branding and product marketing (who we are, what we do, and what we offer pages, including all destinations and programs)
- Develop and maintain a calendar for updating content to ensure the website remains relevant and correct, in collaboration with Digital Content & SEO Coordinator
- Ensure prompt elimination of content errors or content that is out of date, as well as work with Assistant Director of Web Strategy & Development to eliminate technical errors
- Write highly polished, clear, concise, and grammatically correct copy that is consistent with brand voice and in-line with SEO best practices
- Work closely with Design team to keep imagery and overall look and feel on brand, fresh, and engaging
- Manage the implementation of new programs and program updates on the website, leading the process across departmental contributors
- Lead documentation, training, and vision surrounding the website and best practices
- Liaise with other departments about web best practices and procedures
- Advocate for content priorities within the web team with the Assistant Director of Web Strategy & Development, designing new structures within the site when necessary to support content needs
- Contribute to the Content Team, collaborating on how web efforts can support campaigns, be bolstered with original content, or promote branding continuity across channels
Search Engine Optimization - Collaborate with Digital Content & SEO Coordinator to implement a holistic SEO strategy across all web content
- Communicate results of SEO optimization to various levels, including the management team, to encourage business decisions based on data
- Optimize existing copy and landing pages with SEM strategy
Email Campaigns - Collaborate with other departments to create new CRM campaigns (email, text, and other mediums) that nurture students through the journey
- Proactively enhance existing CRM campaigns to maximize tools and strategy, will also send one-off marketing emails to prospective students and partial applicants in our system
Additional Marketing Responsibilities - Participate as the Marketing representative in interdepartmental program development teams, managing the marketing and catalog content for those programs.
- Support Digital Marketing Manager to define success metrics and key performance indicators
- Other marketing duties as assigned

Experience & Qualifications/Skills: - Minimum 1 to 3 years of experience in related position
- Proven writing and editing skills
- Documentation and resource sharing skills are vital
- Excellent organizational and project management skills with exceptional attention to detail and deadlines
- Time-management and multitasking skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Leadership skills a must
- Basic understanding of SEO guidelines and marketing best practices and an eagerness to learn
- Knowledge and experience with keyword research and backlink analysis tools.
- Knowledge and experience with Google products, particularly Google Analytics and Search Console. Google Analytics Certification preferred but not required
- Strong strategic, analytical, and critical thinking skills
- Ability to interpret large amounts of data
- Web crawler knowledge and experience required
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
- Previous content management system experience preferred
- Ability to demonstrate values and promotion of diversity, equity, inclusion, and anti-racism required.
Education, Licenses and/or Certifications etc.: - Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, related field, or equivalent work experience
Hiring Salary Range $58,000-$60,000
