Overview JOB SUMMARYWe are seeking a talented Digital Marketing Coordinator to strengthen our online presence and help implement effective online marketing strategies. In this role, you will create original content, develop creative approaches to attract more customers, and promote our brand through social media. Ultimately, your efforts should drive web traffic and increase customer engagement, aligning with broader marketing objectives.
You will work closely with the Regional Director of Sales and Marketing, as well as the Marketing Manager, to enhance the visibility, relevance, and community engagement of the hotel through strategic, consistent marketing initiatives. KEY RESPONSIBILITIESThe Digital Marketing Coordinator will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following tasks:
- Develop social media strategies in collaboration with the Regional Director of Sales and Marketing, Director of Food & Beverage, and Marketing Manager
- Create engaging text, image, and video content across social media platforms
- Oversee social media account layouts and design posts to generate buzz and interest in the hotel's offerings
- Optimize posting schedules based on web traffic and customer engagement metrics
- Facilitate online conversations with customers, responding to inquiries promptly
- Engage with a variety of events and activations both on and off property
- Ensure consistent brand representation across all online mediums (website, third-party platforms, social channels) for the hotel's various brands (food and beverage, Dandelion, Rowes Wharf Health Club, etc.)
- Cultivate and manage branded online communities across Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok while staying updated on platform trends
- Create and implement innovative social media campaigns aligned with broader marketing strategies, ensuring proven ROI
- Monitor and respond to online reviews and guest feedback
- Research audience preferences and emerging trends to enhance engagement
- Propose new ways to attract prospective customers, including promotions and competitions
- Assist in the creation and implementation of marketing collateral for events like Summer in the City/Boston Wine Festival, including vitrines, brochures, check stuffers, and more
- Write blog posts and create newsletters to promote the hotel and local attractions
- Collaborate with various departments to develop ideas and fully promote in-house events
- Execute photoshoots for seasonal food and beverage offerings and programming events
- Capture high-quality photography and videography for use in digital marketing campaigns, social media content, and promotional materials.
- Update and design content for the Boston Harbor Hotel website
- Manage the hotel's photo database and assist in content creation for marketing campaigns
Qualifications JOB QUALIFICATIONSTo succeed in this role, you should possess a combination of the following skills and experiences:
- Self-directed, motivated, and able to demonstrate exceptional customer service, analytical thinking, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to exercise sound judgment and utilize appropriate resources to evaluate situations
- Expertise in managing multiple social media platforms
- Proficiency in graphic design software, including Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) and Canva
- Strong ability to deliver creative content, including text, photography, and video
- In-depth knowledge of SEO, keyword research, and GA4
- Familiarity with online marketing strategies and channels
- A forward-thinking approach, staying proactive in identifying future trends in digital technologies
- Skilled in writing compelling and engaging social media content
- Excellent communication and multitasking skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with a team
Education:A Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Design, Hospitality, Business, or related fields is preferred. Equivalent experience is also acceptable.
