Southeast Missouri State University's Marketing & Communications department is seeking a talented Digital Marketing Analyst to analyze and leverage data to inform and enhance strategic marketing decisions and optimize campaign performance. The Digital Marketing Analyst transforms marketing and campaign data into actionable insights that guiding marketing strategies and support achieving strategic goals.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Identify trends and opportunities for digital marketing growth through analysis of complex datasets
  • Create best-practice marketing reports based on data mining, analysis, and visualization from multiple data sources to be shared with team members across the University
  • Evaluate internal systems for efficiency, problems, and inaccuracies, and develop and maintain protocols for handling, processing, and cleaning data
  • Utilize data insight tools such as Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, social media insights and ad platforms, and email marketing and customer relationship management system insights to understand marketing data and create goals based on analysis of these data sets
  • Work directly with managers and users to understand and maintain focus on the University's analytics needs, including critical metrics and KPIs
  • Deliver actionable insights to inform data driven marketing strategies
  • Enthusiastically collaborate with team members to achieve University goals, create effective campaigns, and elevate the SEMO brand
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree; Bachelor's degree in marketing, advertising, analytics, data science, mathematics, statistics is a plus.
  • Experience with database and model design, segmentation techniques and data mining
  • Experience with marketing analytics tools including Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, social media insights and ad management platforms as well as strong Excel skills
  • Proven analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Technical writing experience in relevant areas, including queries, reports, and presentations
  • Superior time management and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and discipline to deliver projects
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
