Position Title: Digital Engineering Lead Location: Schriever Space Force Base, Colorado Springs, CO Relocation Assistance: None available at this time Remote/Telework: No - Not available for this position Clearance Required: Active DoD Secret Security Clearance Work Schedule: Day shift, Monday-Friday Travel: Up to 10% of the time Position Summary: Aegis Aerospace is currently seeking a Digital Engineering Lead to join our team supporting the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) at Schriever Space Force Base under the IRES contract. This position is responsible for driving the adoption and integration of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) practices across a diverse systems engineering environment. Key Responsibilities: The candidate will: Promote and lead the adoption of MBSE practices across the organization, providing training, mentorship, and technical support to team members. Provide systems engineering leadership across a diverse group including Model-Based Systems Engineers, Configuration Management Analysts, Enterprise Architects, Program Analysts, and Data Analysts. Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to ensure cohesive integration of systems engineering principles and digital engineering approaches. Lead the transformation from manual, document-based processes to model-based environments, and help define standard practices and workflows. Communicate complex engineering concepts effectively to technical and non-technical team members. Provide regular project status updates and briefings to leadership, including senior government customers and stakeholders. Minimum Qualifications: Must be a U.S. Citizen Must have an active DoD Secret Security Clearance or above Must have 4 or more years of systems engineering experience Must have prior leadership experience in either technical or personnel management roles Must have strong knowledge of systems engineering frameworks (DoDAF, UAF, TOGAF) Must be proficient in modeling languages (e.g., SysML, UML) Must have hands-on experience with MBSE tools (DOORS, Cameo, Rhapsody, etc.) Desired Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in information technology or a STEM-related field Compensation: Salary Range: $100,000.00 - $141,000.00 annually.
