KAR Direct is a start-up ecommerce business development agency that exists to address the needs of niche brands in the outdoor & active lifestyle industry that want to grow or establish their online sales channel. We see immense value in consolidating all of the necessary functions needed to sell products online through your own storefront. We work with and seek out brands that have a story to tell and a product that drives customer retention and advocacy - we work with brands that have passionate founders and employees. By working with brands that are newer to the world of ecommerce, our relationship is intimate and involved, we are often making executive level decisions on the fly for our brands. We are focused on small to mid-size businesses seeking 50-150% YoY growth.
We specialize in building and maintaining Shopify sites, SEO & SEM, Klaviyo Email, performance marketing (GOOGLEMETATIKTOK) & modeling growth for our partners. We currently support 22 brands and are growing very rapidly. We exist at the center of the booming e-commerce industry with the goal of helping high quality brands stand out and sell products. Our clients range from European outerwear brands that have just launched in the US to automotive accessory brands that are looking to further their penetration in the outdoor industry.

The Opportunity
KAR is a team of 7 with two in Los Angeles and we are looking to add an additional team member to support our digital & email marketing efforts. This role would focus on building and deploying meta campaigns. We would also lean on this role to assist in developing email marketing campaigns for our brands. In this role you would be working with clients that are growing their brands by selling through to the Outdoor Active Lifestyle consumer. Our executions are aimed at authentically representing these brands through email and digital marketing platforms.
The position is hybrid with 3 days of week in person at the office in Venice Beach, CA. The 3 days will typically be Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday but are regularly subject to change.
Capabilities
- Experience in design platforms - ability to creatively display our clients brands and drive affinity
- Understanding of key ad placements across META, Google & Email Marketing
- Willingness to learn digital marketing and understand core ecommerce metrics
- Charismatic - strong communication skills and expectation-management
- Ability to evaluate tasks on an urgency and importance basis
- Analytics skills and an understanding of probability and experimentation

Experience:
