Permanent, Full-time (37 hours per week)
Here at Stockport Homes Group (SHG), we are passionate about delivering excellent services for customers. We are innovative and entrepreneurial, recognised nationally as a great employer, and we look for people with a passion for their work, demonstrating great judgment, innovation, and successful outcomes. We value talent and develop individuals to reach their full potential.
We're seeking a Digital Developer to support SHG's digital transformation strategy and ongoing digital operations. Your role will involve increasing value for money on existing processes, resources, and IT systems by driving efficiency; improving the digital customer journey; and contributing to wider strategic initiatives to enhance our service to customers.
Role Overview:
The Digital Developer will be instrumental in producing digital solutions from initial discovery to go-live, as part of a broader delivery program. You will collaborate with Digital Innovation Strategists to identify opportunities by assessing the technical feasibility of new ideas across various business functions. Key responsibilities include building, testing, and supporting digital services using Robotic Process Automation (UiPath), AI engines, Microsoft PowerApps, and PowerAutomate.
We seek a proactive developer who can help shape and deliver practical, effective solutions. You will be involved from the outset in planning, designing, building tools, leading testing and deployment, maintaining live automations and apps, and resolving technical issues. You will also drive continuous improvement and collaborate with colleagues across the organization. If you enjoy solving complex problems and contributing to positive change, we would love to hear from you.
Candidate Profile:
Ideal candidates will have 2-3 years of software development experience, preferably within the public sector, and at least 1 year of experience with Robotic Process Automation (preferably UiPath) or developing with Microsoft Power Platform. You should be comfortable across the entire software development lifecycle, from discovery to live support. Skills in IT support, system administration, data engineering, AI/ML, business analysis, UI/UX design, or project management are also valuable.
The successful candidate will be analytical, a strong problem solver, proactive, curious, adaptable, open-minded, resilient, and detail-oriented. Excellent communication skills are essential, especially when working with both technical and non-technical colleagues.
